BOOK OF REFLECTIONS is a project of guitarist Lars Eric Mattsson(CONDITION RED,LARS ERIC MATTSSON).The idea behind the project was to create fast,intricate music that was also melodic and to feature vocals melodies that would really stand out.
Lars,who plays guitar/bass/keyboards,assembled an impressive list of musicians,like guitarist Rusty Cooley (OUTWORLD),drummer Eddie Sledgehammer (MATTSSON,CONDITION RED) and keyboardists Vitalij Kuprij and Mistheria (BRUCE DICKINSON) among others.Vocalists on the two BOOK OF REFLECTIONS albums have included:Hubi Meisel (HUBI MEISEL,ex-DREAMSCAPE),Andy Enberg (SECTION A,ex-SORCERER),Mikael Holm,Björn Jansson (BEYOND TWILIGHT) and Martin LeMar (TOMORROW'S EVE).
Two albums have been released so far,2004's " Book of Reflections " and "Chapter II:Unfold the Future" in 2006.
The musical concept behind BOOK OF REFLECTIONS is to mix power metal and classic hard rock with progressive elements and present the result in a fresh package where the songs alway comes first.Highly recommended for progressive metal fans who don't mind a dash of power added to the mix.
