Thisquietarmy is a solitary one-man experimental drone-based music project from Montreal, Canada. Active since 2005, he constantly furthers the boundaries of his sonic guitar experimentation to create an impressively wide range of dynamic soundscapes by combining textural & structural elements of ambient/electronic, drone/noise, shoegaze/industrial, post-punk/krautrock, black/doom metal. His live performances, often presented as an improvised real-time score to his own hypnotic ethereal visuals, can be as heavy and face melting as quiet and introspective.

thisquietarmy's discography comprises of over 30 releases on 20+ different labels worldwide, including full-length albums on esteemed labels such as Denovali Records, Aurora Borealis, Consouling Sounds, Shelter Press, three:four Records & Alien8 Recordings. thisquietarmy has also recorded collaborations with Aidan Baker (Nadja), Scott Cortez (loveliescrushing), André Foisy (Locrian), Labirinto, Monarch, Noveller, Syndrome (Amenra), Year Of No Light & Yellow6, and is involved in other bands such as Hypnodrone Ensemble, Destroyalldreamers & Parallel Lines.
