STR8 is an alternative metal band from Pisa.

Formed in 1998, the band released it's first demo called "Memories" in 2003, and it was followed by a full length album, "Soul Inside?", produced by Frank Andiver, who worked with the band for a few years after: that's how the EP "One last time" and their second album "No More Flames" were published.

After a while, the band with a renewed lineup signed a contract with Revalve Records, and released two singles, "The Sun" and "Wrong", both produced by Matt Hyde (Slipknot, Trivium, Bullet for My Valentine, Machine Head).

In 2021 the band changed line-up, adding a new female singer, Alessandra "Fire" Monaco, a new guitarist, Andrea Pisani, and a new drummer, Marco Moretti, as well as the two old members Filippo Bendinelli (guitar) and Emiliano D'Alessio (bass), and in November 2022 the band released the single "Last Goodbye", produced by Matt Hyde with Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater, Sons of Apollo, Planet X) as a special guest.

In August 2023 the last single "Cold Black Light" was released, produced once again by producer Matt Hyde.
