Moonlight Comedy was formed in Italy in 1998 and immediately the members of the band: Emiliano Germani (vocals) , Gianluigi Farina (keyboards) , Simone Fiorletta (guitars) , Armando Pizzuti (bass) and Andrea Scala (drums) started composing and rehearsing original material. The influences of the nineties progressive, power metal and hard rock are specific characteristics of Moonlight Comedy.
After releasing the promos "...and the Moonlight Dispelled a Mystery" in 1999 and "Second Shadow" in 2001, the band decided it was time to record their full-length debut.The result was 2004 's The Life Inside, an album that was very well received by the media and is an excellent start to the young band's career.
Referring to themselves as "Actors of the comedy of the moonlight", Moonlight Comedy plays a refreshing style of prog metal that is evocative of bands like DREAM THEATER, EMPTY TREMOR, VANDEN PLAS and fellow Italians MIND KEY, drawing inspiration from the influences of these bands to achieve new standards of their own.
