One can surely say that MISTYFICA is more of a newborn symphonic metal band, although the idea of creating something different from what both of the members played before appeared in 2014. And first drafts of music that later become MISTYFICA’s songs date back even to 2010 when Max Molodtsov began to gather riffs and melodies that didn’t fit Edenian (his main gothic-doom band at the time) and were more energetic, complex and fast-paced.

MISTYFICA is a brainchild of two musicians: Max Molodtsov (the mastermind behind such Ukrainian and international metal bands as: Edenian, Sorrowful Land, Blessdivine, Resolution) and Valerie Chudentsova (singer of Edenian, The Mystic Euphoria Project, ex-Nulla Rosa).

By 2020 the band had composed up to 12 songs and 10 of them were recorded to fulfil the debut album “Century Tales”. The compositions vary from fast epic songs to mellow and charming ballad-esque tunes. You'll also hear some classic "beauty and the beast" vocal formula too on some. Three of the songs create a concept trilogy, telling the exciting story, with very Game Of Thrones-ish vibe to it. In that same year of 2020 MISTYFICA released a first official promo lyric-video for the song “Scarlet Reign”.

From 2020 to 2023 MISTYFICA occasionally remained in studio, recording their material for the very first album and despite all odds managed to fully finished the recording process by the spring of 2023. Then after several months of mixing and mastering - “Century Tales” are going to break in and conquer the listener with some classy Ukrainian metal!
