Falgar is a Puerto Rican neofolk project, that began in San Juan in the fall of 2007. It began as a black metal act before changing to a neofolk style. Falgar's own style of neofolk invokes a romantic type of longing, heavily influenced with an old "western"/indo-European sentiment and essence. The feminine archetype and the tendency to romanticize the essence of the feminine is a reoccurring theme in the later folk albums as well. While with each album evolves and changes, there is still a common atmosphere of a drone like contemplation with warm romantic melodies that have been in the heart of every release. Etienne Tel'uial, its sole member, now resides in the northern united states, away from the multitudes.
