Electric Swan was born in 2008 as a solo project of Lucio Calegari, guitarist and founding member of the historic hard rock band Wicked Minds, on the road since 1987. In that year, the homonymous album was released by Bad Chili Records, and soon the project turned into a band, giving the lead vocal to Monica Sardella and playing at the famous Burg Herzberg (German), Crescendo Festival (France), the opening concert for Randy Hansen and Leon Hendrix (Italy) and the German cult band Jane (Germany).
In 2008, the second studio album "Swirl in Gravity" was released by Black Widow Records, in collaboration with Clive Jones, flautist of the 70's English cult band Black Widow, who passed away recently. Although the duo Lucio Calegari and Monica Sardella has always been the heart of the band, during the last years Electric Swan has changed the members of the rhythm section several times.
In 2015, the band finally achieved a stable line-up with Vincenzo Ferrari at the bass guitar and Alessandro Fantasia at the drums, opening for bands like Molly Hatchet and Deville.
In 2017, Black Widow Records has released Electric Swan's third studio album, "Windblown", while the band has also taken part to a tribute album to David Bowie and Marc Bolan, covering T-Rex's "Midnight" under the same label.
