NitroDive first started to make a name for themselves in early 2009 when they released their EP called ”Breaking the Silence”, produced by Henryk Lipp (Hellacopters, Millencolin, DAD). Since then the three piece rock band has been playing live shows all over sweden, signed a management deal with Gain Music Entertainment (Harcore Superstar, Mustacsh, CrashDiet) and at the same time managed to become the first band ever to record a music video on the roof of Gothenburgs biggest indoor arena aka Scandinavium. The music video was directed by Patric Ullaeus (In Flames, Europe, Sonic Syndicate) and is available on YouTube for everyone to see.
Now NitroDive is finally back and this time around with their highly anticipated debut album ”Survival of the Fittest”. The new record consists of twelve energetic and catchy hard rock songs with a sound that makes you think of bands like Danko Jones, Papa Roach and Foo Fighters.
”Survival of the Fittest” was recorded at In Flames Studios, Gothenburg and produced by Roberto Laghi (In Flames, Hardcore Superstar, Mustasch). To put the icing on the cake the living hardrock ledgend Mr. Danko Jones shows up and sings backup vocals on the song “Get Out of the Way”. Moreover the record was mastered by Dragan Tanaskovic at Bohus Sound Studios, Kungälv and the album art was produced in collaboration with Patric Ullaeus.
When released in early october 2011 ”Survival of the Fittsest” went straight to 1# on the swedish hard rock billboard charts and 14# on the all over swedish billboard charts (hitlistan.se). Since the release of the record the band has been busy playing shows all over sweden on their still on going ”Try N Stop Us Tour” 2011/2012.
NitroDive recently (July 2012) released a brand new music video for the song ”Get Out of the Way” (Directed by Patric Ullaeus) from the ”Survival of the Fittest” album and are now more psyched than ever to hit the road again and continue to deliver explosive live shows to their rapidly growing crowd. With an unshakable will and extremely strong drive the band looks forward to a bright future.
