Jay Smith (born in Helsingborg, Sweden on April 29, 1981) is a Swedish singer and guitarist. He won the Swedish Idol 2010 title, beating Minnah Karlsson in the December 10, 2010 finalin the Ericsson Globe theater. Jay Smith also plays in the band Von Benzo, that has two albums released. Smith's first solo single was "Dreaming People".
Jay's solo album "Jay Smith" (2010) has sold platinum and topped Swedish music charts. In 2011 he released the album "Yes Kids It's True" with Von Benzo, the band's second album, the first being "Von Benzo" (2009).
A second solo album ”King Of Man” was released in early December 2013.
