Mat Lehmann started his music career at the age of 11, playing the contrabass in various Italian Classical music Orchestras, but at the same time he raised a deep passion for Heavy Metal music, which it will push the Italian musician to militate in many local bands as a bass player, vocalist and guitar player.
In 2004 Mat founded his first Metal project called NEURASTHENIA, with the Italian guitar player Neil Grotti.
With NEURASTHENIA band, Mat and his colleague reached many great successes, national and international.
From 2011, NEURASTHENIA and Mat started to growing new fans also in Russia with three Headlining Tours and one album released by the Russian Metal label FONO ltd records.
Mat closed the door of his own studio, trying to test his musical and vocal talent. But without realizing that he was building his first pillar, that in only four months took the name of LEHMANN project and the debut album "Lehmanized".
In 2013, as first, "Lehmanized" was released by the Russian label FONO ltd records, only in the Russian federation, followed by the first Russian Headliner Tour, one European Headliner Tour, and the Official video of "Sunday I'll be Dead" rehearsals version.
On the record there are some special guest like BLAZE BAYLEY, which has supported the project, singing together with Mat Lehmann on the song "Laid so Low" and with CLAUDIO TIRINCANTI (Blaze Bayley/Tim Ripper Owens) on the drums.
In 2014 IVAN DEMICHEV (Guitar) joined as an Official member of the band, with some new fresh ideas. Together with Mat Lehmann they released the new single called "The Reddish Planet" and the Official video of the song, along with Andy Bigi (Bass), Neil Grotti (Guitar) and Rick Perugini (Drum).
After that, Mat Lehmann reached the deal with the German label MASSACRE records for the worldwide release of "Lehmanized". But before this release, the LEHMANN band will embark for "The Reddish Planet Russian Tour 2014", with Anton Kuklin on the drums and supported by the Russian Guitar Hero Edward Lytkin.
