Minkions was formed in Italy by Simone "Thrashard" (voice) and Umbe (guitar) in the summer of 2006. A lot of influences come from 80's thrashcore acts like D.R.I., The Accused and Cryptic Slaughter. The band calls himself a "raw hardcore splatthrash punk" creature, playing fast 'n' punching riffs with a crazy raging attitude, sometimes indulging little instrumental parts. Lyrics shout against conformity, everyday life and socio-political issues. The band recorded a demo CD in 2009 called "Stop thinking start drinking" (that was more fastcore influnced, with funny and demented lyrics). After that, the same year a 7" four way split with Armagedom/Children of Technology/Nuclear Frost were co-released by Agipunk/Terror from Hell. Following year another three way split with Voetsek and Barbatos come out under Break the Chains label, this time as a 12" vinyl. Moreover in 2010 the band released with underground labels co-production another 7" split with italian grinders Terror Firmer. In September 2012 Minkions gave birth their debut album "Distorted Pictures from Distorted Reality", released on three different versions: LP on Doomentia Records, CD on FOAD Records, Tape on Take my Time Records. Minkions are here to kick your lazy asses and bang your fucking head, so be prepare we'll catch you: nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
