he concept of Sleipnir was realised in the year 2005. Pete "Tossell" Gordon and Paul "Darklord" Clark originally met in 1994 through a mutual love of extreme metal. Darklord was still involved with the Odinic band 'Cult Of Frey' at the time. Darklord and Tossell became involved in the Odinic Rite in the mid 90s but after several splintering of groups they became disillusioned with Odinism in general. They formed a viking band in 2000 called 'Mjollnir' but due to work commitments all that existed were a few lyrics and song ideas and the band was put to rest. In 2004/05 Darklord resurrected 'Cult Of Frey' and this in turn inspired them to form 'Sleipnir'. The name was chosen in honour of the Odinic hearth of which they were members. During 2006/07 they wrote the songs that make up the album 'Bloodbrothers'. Sleipnir is about battles, warriors and christian slaying. They leave odinic and runic mysticism to other bands. The album 'Bloodbrothers' will be released in 2008 and plans are shaping up for the next one..
