Gudars Skymning play heavy soulful rock with Swedish lyrics. With their feet deeply planted in a muddy, bubbling blues & heavy classic rock mould, they try to create music in our beautiful native tongue paying tribute to the classical recipes as many others have tried before us. A certain Laplandish melancholy, a gust of the original Swedish prog cosiness, and a decisive nod to the best of the meaty rock acts of the ‘70s, is the foundation and essence of what we’re aiming to create. A genuine, honest music, that the band, and hopefully you - can live with in these otherwise so meagre times.
Influences: bands such as Mountain, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and that bunch o' heavy 70's rock groups, but also bands from the Swedish scene, like Abramis Brama,Svarte Pan, November, Magnolia and such. And of course - inspiration is born from other things than music as well.
