The roots of 'The Embodied' began in high school when Chris and Jonathan decided to start a rock band together with bass guitarist Agust. Ever since that day they have played together and been in search for members. In 2003 Marcus Thorell joined the band after he had been playing together with Jonathan in another band. The Embodied was yet to emerge, though in 2006 another addition to the band came when the drummer, Emanuel 'Manne' Ericsson, joined the band. Now the band was complete and The Embodied-saga began.

The Embodied have played numerous shows since then and are playing bigger and better gigs all the time. In 2007 The Embodied open for Amon Amarth and TYR and made a lot of great shows throughout the country involving a show at the classic venue of Debaser Medis. Our favorite venues are the ones where we can reach out and get up close to our audience. In 2006 The Embodied released 'Relativity Fade' a demo EP that contained six songs, though one was recorded in 2004. The Embodied planned for a new EP, but the drummer Manne “left” the band and the band came to a halt. The group was searching for a bit heavier sound than Manne was able to give them. In 2008 they stumbled upon a great drummer from Örebro, Axel Janossy. The chemistry was sparkling on the first chord and Axel could deliver the heavier sound we always were looking for. Since then The Embodied is making progress in the world of music and will probably hit a stage near you in the future.
