WARSHOUT were founded in 2007, by a project of Nico (drums). The band, initially consisting of two guitars (Andre & Pier) and drums, enlisted Mat (vocals) and started writing songs on an black / death metal musical background but focused on northern themes. Not so much directed to mythology, but rather addressed the social sphere of the Viking Age: major and fundamental issues that characterize a society extremely rich in culture and tradition. From themes taken from history, customs, myth you get to touch deeper topics related to human history, existentialism, religion, faith, corruption, hypocrisy, intolerance, violence and many others. There are also tales and myths taken from the traditions of poetry and prose of Northern Europe. The main themes are therefore in constant evolution, with special attention also to reflective and introspective moments. In early 2009, finally found Alfred (bass) and decided to record a demo. After several months, they recruited another bassist, Beppe, who soon became an official member of the band, so as to give an experimental sound with the help of two bass guitars.

Finally, in December 2009, finished recording the demo HVERGELMIR, a special thanks to Dany All, Total Eclipse Graphics and Collapse Studio.
