Mad Shepherd are an alternative rock band from Rome. A Power Trio that through jumpy beat, direct and heavy sound together with the emotional tension of the lyrics, turn the contemporary rock style into an intense and explosive show.
Two EP recorded between 2009 and 2012 with a line up still provisional brought them to be included in the compilation “Riot on sunset vol.22” by 272 Records (Los Angeles), to be selected by the speaker of Radio Rock (FM 106.6) for the show “Festivàl” and to reach the final stage in the contest for opening Foo Fighters in “Rock in Idrho” organized by Sony Music.
The band played a number of live shows in important clubs in the Country including the main Rock Clubs in Rome (Circolo degli Aristi, Contestaccio, Circolo Degli Illuminati etc) and festivals like Clemens Rock Night in 2009 and Ecofest 2013 were they performed on the main stage.
In July 2013 Mad Shepherd have being co-produced by Walter Babbini (Zucchero, Morricone, Negrita) for their first album “Monarch”. On drums a special guest, Valter Sacripanti (Frankie Hi Energy, Massimo Varini). The Album was recorded and mixed at Revolver Studios by Walter Babbini and sent lo Los Angeles for the mastering to Howie Weinberg (Head Mastering Engineer in the renowned Masterdisk studio in New York for 30 years, with more than 200 gold records produced for artist like Muse, Metallica, Deftones).
