Formed in Connecticut, Mourn The Light have steadily built a strong reputation in the international heavy metal scene. Their 2021 debut “Suffer, Then We’re Gone” (Argonauta Records) received widespread acclaim for its mix of classic doom and melodic heavy metal. The following EPs “Stare into the Face of Death” and “The Magic is Calling” further solidified their status, gaining strong support from both fans and press.
With “Sorrow Feeds the Silence,” Mourn The Light introduce new vocalist Andy Small (Spellmaster, Olyphant), marking a new era for the band. The new material sees them expanding their traditional doom roots into a more power and classic metal direction, enriched by progressive nuances and a renewed sense of energy and melody.
Mourn The Light have toured extensively across the US and Canada, appearing at renowned festivals such as Stormbringer Metal Festival, Legions of Metal, New England Stoner and Doom Metal Festival, and SXSW Stoner Jam. They have shared the stage with legendary acts including Anvil, Artillery, Haunt, Seven Sisters, Satan, Liege Lord, Cloven Hoof, and Lich King, earning recognition as one of the most promising names in today’s heavy underground.
