The band was initially formed in the midlle of 90's in the city of Volos, Greece but in 2001, after 2 demos, the original members abandoned this project.
In 2018 Silent Winter was reformed thanks to the original guitar player, Kiriakos "Akis" Balanos, today is the only original member of the band.
