Awake By Design are a heavy metal band from England. They were formed in 2009 by lead singer Adrian Powell and guitarist Toby Stewart. The band have released two full length studio albums with singles being played on the BBC, Kerrang and Metal Hammer. They have supported many well known bands such as: Leaves Eyes, Pain of Salvation, My Dying Bride, Anathema, Apocalyptica, Diamond Head, Sonata Arctica, Queensryche, Tygers of Pan Tang, Lacrimas Profundere, Curved Air, Anvil, Power Quest, Amorphis, Evergrey and many more. The experience gained from the mentioned gigs and tours culminated in Awake By Design performing at Bloodstock Festival in the summer of 2013 and HRH metal in 2018. This great exposure led to Awake By Design being named by Claire Frays (Midlands Rocks Reviewer) as top local band of 2011.
The band are set to release their highly anticipated third album in 2020, produced and mixed by Karl Groom (Dragonforce,Threshold). The band have been performing some of this new material since 2018 and it has already gained interest from fans and the media.
