The story of NIBIRU ORDEAL began in summer of 2006, when two childhood friends decided to start making music together. This group of young musicians originating from Kuopio, Finland, is today a 5-piece Finnish-Swedish powerhouse. The music is deeply rooted in the classic works of power metal legends such as Helloween and Stratovarius, but elements from other metal subgenres are often mixed in.

For several years NIBIRU ORDEAL remained a two-man-project envisioned by keyboard player Pekka Laitinen and drummer Vili Härkönen, both teenagers at the time. After a long period of composing and practicing, the two original members were accompanied by bass player Jussi Pulliainen and guitarist Mirko Byman. In 2013 the band hired Per ”PelleK” Åsly, a then semi-famous internet phenomenon, to sing on their debut record. A five-song EP called ”SPACEBEAST” was released in 2015 and it garnered a small, but supportive group of listeners around the world. The EP received particular interest in Japan & Brazil. Per, the vocalist, soon parted ways with rest of the band to focus on his other projects. By this time the band already had several albums worth of material written, so they headed into studio and simultaneously began searching for their new vocalist.
In 2017, after the band had already recorded instrumentals for their upcoming full length album, they met a Bosnian-born Swedish singer, Andi Kravljača, who was soon announced as their new singer. To promote their new sound, the band self-released two digital singles, ”STARDUST” and ”GONE WITH THE WIND” in late 2017.
In summer 2019, after a lengthy period of mixing, the band announced that the album is finished and ready to be released as soon as the technicalities around publishing have been sorted out.
The band filmed a music video for a brand new song ”DEMONS & ANGELS” which is to be released in autumn 2019. The massive 80-minute mark hitting full album will be called ”SOLAR ECLIPSE” and is planned to be released soon after the pre-mentioned single / music video release. The initial release is digital, but there are plans to release the album in CD form in the future.
