Synodic is an Atmospheric Black Metal band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA currently formed by Myrdin (Revelation None) - All Instruments. The band brings the heavy dark elements of the universe through music with blast beats, massive synths, dense and obscure with a hypnotic soundscape.
The main influences on Synodic sound are Mare Cognitum, Darchon, Burzum, Emperor, Dissection, Carpathian Forest and we can certainly notice the influence of these bands in the last release called Omnibus. I can certainly recommend this band for those who likes Coldworld especially the vocal and guitar lines.
In the words of the artists itself Synodic's "Omnibus" is a collection and expansion of 2017's "Infinite Presence in a Violent Universe" LP and the "Prodigious" EP. The collection features completed vocals for all tracks on "Prodigious" and a new track called "Beyond the Horizon".
"Omnibus" is a showcase in gorgeous brutality, a sprawling collection of a atmospheric black metal with a genuine passion for astronomy. Furthermore, "Omnibus" also highlights the shift in Synodic's makeup and songwriting with Imber's ethereal growls on Side A and Myrdin's solitary screams on Side B. The collection hints at the dissolution of the project while never straying from the steadfast gaze on an ever expanding universe.
