RAWFOIL were born back in 2009, thanks to Francesco (vocals) and Christian (guitar). The goal of the project was to have fun playing some good thrash metal.
Lorenzo (Christian’s cousin) joined the band as bass player right away, while Ruben joined as guitar player. The line-up was then complete with Alessandro at the drums, and the band could start playing cover songs by the great old school bands as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Helloween.
After one year Ruben and Alessandro left the band, being replaced by Mattia and Dave. With this new line-up the band started composing its own songs.
At the end of 2011 the first self-produced demo was recorded, featuring 3 songs. Following this release the band could start a series of live shows, sharing the stage with many underground bands coming from most of Italy and from abroad.
In 2014 a new line-up change occurred. Dave, Mattia and Christian left the band, leaving Francesco and Lorenzo as the only former members.
After a long research they finally found what they were looking for. Ruben came back as lead guitar, while Giacomo (guitar) and Marco (drums) finally joined the band.
The final result is a powerful and refined thrash metal which leaves room to the classic genre sound, too.
In 2016 the stability of this new line-up lead the band to record their first full-length album under the guidance of Alex Azzali, at Alpha-Omega studios (Como).
