Initially known as Crysys, the band was formed in February 2008 by ex-Shadon Javi Carrión and Marc Torras, including on its first reincarnation members from other local bands: Marc Busqué "Busi" and Albert Requena on guitars - vocal duties were handled by Julián Baz as the original singer couldn’t attend the band’s first show.

This stable formation would record their debut album The Menace on the Borgentreich Stage One Studio in Germany, distributed and promoted worldwide by Wacken Records, starting shortly afterwards a European tour. Electronic Arts then forced them to change their name in 2011 due to legal issues with the game Crysis.

They started working on the recording of Rise…Then Rest by late 2012 at the Moontower Studios in Barcelona, engineered and produced by Javi Bastard, mixed and mastered by Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios.
