Hryre was officially formed in early 2013 when founding members Rick Millington & Nathan Patchett were exploring and experimenting with a range
of dirty and dank tones surrounding the Black Metal sub-genre. Writing and recording progressed for some time until Rick was introduced to Gareth Hodgson (also of A Forest of Stars and Acolyte) by a mutual good friend Duncan Evans. Following this initial meeting it was clear that Gareth understood exactly what Rick & Nathan were aiming to achieve and was drafted straight in to the project as the third and final core member and became a definitive factor in to the eventual formation of Hryre.
Hryre now officially stands at three core members but have had the honour and privilege of welcoming a good friend of many years Michael Blenkarn (also of Wodensthrone, Minethorn and The Axis of Perdition) as guest keyboard player.
