Hailing from New York, rock band Mirror Queen blend together classic metal, psych, and stoner rock, taking inspiration from '70s masters like Blue Öyster Cult, Hawkwind, and Deep Purple. Led by singer/guitarist Kenny Kreisor, the band originally formed in the early 2000s as Aytobach Kreisor, which was later shortened simply to Kreisor. They released a number of albums, touring throughout the U.S. and Europe with acts like Atomic Bitchwax, Uli Jon Roth, and metal legends UFO. In 2011, Kenny Kreisor and founding drummer Jeremy O’Brien enlisted second guitarist Phil Ortanez and bassist James Corallo to release From Earth Below, their debut under the Mirror Queen moniker. Recording for American indie TeePee Records, they recorded their follow-up album which was slated for a 2015 release.
