The band MORODH was started in 2011 by the guitarist Ragnaar in the small and joyless town Melenki in central of Russia as one-man project. Bit later, Ragnaar invited his old friends Astaroth and Andreas to join the band. The name Morodh was taken from the ledger of the Russian poet and mystic Daniil Andreev “The Rose of the World”, where this is name of one of the retribution worlds in which a human souls stay in silence and loneliness alone with memories of his crimes. Inspired by doom metal from 90’s, depressive black metal and post-black the band had composed and recorded their first tracks. A disappointment in this world and negative human’s emotions steel main lyrical theme of the band. Two songs was release in the end 2012 as first demo and split. These releases got good reviews and reaction from listeners and zines. In 2013 band started work with material for their first full-lenght album with the name “The World of Retribution”. Album was recorded in 2014. In 2014 band’s friend Anthart, which played on bass in first releases of Morodh, joined to the band as full member.
