The Beginning
5 musicians around the age of 13 came together in Fairmont, WVA to
create a bombastic heavy metal band about 8 years ago. Today, at the
ages of 19­20, this group of prodigies would prove that they have the
means to re­define the heaviest and most progressive of metal genres with their accelerated abilities as musicians and writers. The chemisty they possess speaks clearly through their intensified brand of metal and
delivery.

The Recording
The band called upon the services of producer Jeff Westlake at Ridgeline
Productions in Ashland, KY in October 2013. The band would go on to
record their first full length debut album in November and December of
2013.

The Present and Future
As of this writing in August of 2014, COGNITION has signed onto an
independent label, Overman Productions, and is preparing to unleash their debut album upon the audiences of the world.
