Stockholm's Eclipse, founded in 1999 by singer Erik Mårtensson and guitarist Magnus Henriksson, offer slick, well polished Melodic Rock with an AOR edge. An opening four song demo scored a contract for their debut record, 2001's "The Truth And A Little More" released through British label Z Records. Studio guests included Europe guitarist Kee Marcello and Yngwie Malmsteen keyboard player Mats Olausson.
As they began the pre-production with for a follow up, having signed to Italian concern Frontiers Records, keyboard player / drummer Anders Berlin opted out. Eclipse persevered by enrolling a fresh rhythm section comprising bass player Fredrik Folkare, having ties to Scudiero, Unleashed and Incardine, plus drummer Magnus Ulfstedt and headed to Wing Studios and Blowout Studios to record their second album, entitled 'Second To None' in 2003. Mats Olausson once again offered his services on keyboards.
Vocalist Eric Mårtensson, retaining his affiliation with Eclipse, joined Amaze Me during 2003. Eclipse signed the 'Second To None' album to the Italian frontiers label. The band gave a donation of 'Need A Lot Of Lovin' to the Sweet tribute album 'The Sweet According To Sweden' in 2004. Later that same year Erik Mårtensson sessioned for Brazen Abbott.
During 2008 the esteemed erstwhile Talisman, Malmsteen and the vocalist Jeff Scott Soto forged the W.E.T. trio alongside Erik Mårtensson and Work Of Art guitar player Robert Säll. A debut album was recorded for the Italian Frontiers label for November 2009 release.
Meantime, a third ECLIPSE album, entitled 'Are You Ready To Rock?' arrived in October 2008. The band had now been joined by keyboard player Johan Berlin, of Timescape, and drummer Robert Bäck.
Eclipse made an appearance at the 24th October 2009 'Firefest' event in Nottingham.
In 2011 Eclipse teamed up again to write what was to become their latest effort 'Bleed and Scream'. The bar was set high and the initial goal was to top their latest album.
In August 2012 the 'Bleed and Scream' album is issued by Frontiers Records.
The band gained a solid reputation and a steady following with this album that took their melodic Hard Rock roots in a more contemporary direction.
Besides this, producer and main songwriters Erik Mårtensson and Magnus Henriksson strongly improved their skills by writing and producing a vast amount of bands and projects, from the successful W.E.T. albums (together with singer Jeff Scott Soto and Robert Sall from Work of Art) to Toby Hitchcock, Giant, Jimi Jamison, Dalton, Adrenaline Rush just to name a few. This has gained Mårtensson a reputation as one of the top producers/song-writers in this genre today.
In the second half of 2014, Eclipse teamed up again to write their new studio album. The bar was set high and the initial goal was to top their latest album and the result was achieved brilliantly with the aptly titled 'Armageedonize', an album where the band rocks from start to finish like there is no tomorrow.
After touring extensively for two years with their album, Eclipse's main songwriters Erik Mårtensson and Magnus Henriksson reconvened in Erik's new studio in the Swedish countryside and started writing songs. The intention was to write and record an album with no compromise of either song quality or performance from the band. The result is "Monumentum" issued again by Frontiers Records in march 2017.
Eclipse returns with a new album, “Paradigm”, in October 2019, anticipated by the album’s opening track "Viva La Victoria". The video of this song sees the band cooperating with renowned video director Patric Ullaeus who has previously made videos for bands like In Flames, Arch Enemy, The Dark Element, and Europe to name a few.
Coming off their most successful album yet, "Paradigm" (which includes the massive single 'Viva La Victoria' that has 15 million streams and counting), Sweden's Eclipse are back with their new studio album “Wired.”

Eclipse released their tenth studio album, "Megalomanium", on September 2023.
