La band nasce in Nevada nel 2004 e, fin dall'album di debutto, ottiene grandi successi di pubblico e critica, soprattutto negli States.

La storia del gruppo è stata caratterizzata, fino ad oggi, da frequenti cambiamenti nella line-up. Oggi della band originale rimangono solo il chitarrista Monte e il batterista.

Il debutto discografico, dal titolo Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, è del 2005, seguito da This War Is Ours nel 2008. Dopo un album omonimo nel 2010, nel 2013 è la volta di Ungrateful.
