Hailing from France, Demented was formed in the summer of 2008 by five musicians coming from different backgrounds. With Flo and Mika at the guitars, Manu at the bass, John at the drums and Nessim at the vocals, the group quickly set out to create some aggressive and extreme music that would blend the brutality of old school death metal with a more modern, technical approach and some dark, intriguing atmospheres.
The band decides to go into the studio in late 2008 to record their first demo, which was followed by a series of gigs throughout most of 2009.
After a lot of live performances and armed with a batch of new songs, the band decided to record their first album in March 2010 "Fields of Suffering" at BUD RECORDS STUDIO and recruited Pascal Mathieu (GOROD) for the mixing and Scott Hull (PIG DESTROYER) for the mastering.
The artwork was conceptualized by Alex 3-Crosses xXx (OTARGOS).
DEMENTED then embarks on an extensive tour throughout France to promote their first album, which garnered a lot of praise from fans and critics.
In early 2012, guitarist Flo quits the band and was promptly replaced by Thomas, and soon after the band enters the studio to commence the recordings of their second album once again with Pascal Mathieu behind the mixing desk. Entitled “Across The Nature’s Stillness”, this new effort was then mastered at HERTZ STUDIO (BEHEMOTH, VADER ,DECAPITATED) in Poland.
