Prodigal Sons were formed about in 2005, the formation was: Gabriele - voice; Filippo - guitar; Francesco - guitars; Massimiliano - bass and Matteo - drums.
The age of the band members was between 12 and 14. For that reason,the band used to play punk music.
In 2006 the band started the songwriting of their own first songs, but they were not satisfied so they eliminated them.
After some experiences live, in 2007 the band recorded the first demo "Prodigal Sons", with 9 classic heavy metal tracks. Live shows got bigger and the song Faceless God ended up on an american compilation called Kill City.
In 2008 Filippo and Francesco quit the band and were replaced by Dani and James. The band is now writing new songs, with the classic heavy metal style now much influenced by epic metal, those songs are avayable on the new demo called "Prodigal Sons" (2009). On 2010 guitarist Andrè replaced James.
The current line-up will release the debut album titled "On Our Last Day" on January 16 of 2012 on Mygraveyard Production.
