WarmRain (the brainchild of singer songwriter Leon J Russell) have a quintessentially English feel, managing to sound of their time - whilst remaining faithful to the traditions laid down before them, by the great English rock bands of the past.
They play very naturally structured rock music, made up of a blend of really infectious and memorable melodies and riffs, which (as all good music should ...do) once its worked its way into your psyche, both enriches the listeners life and, by putting into words and music things we’ve also felt or thought, gives the listener something they can relate to and so, also makes them feel they’re not alone.

Since first discovering the music of the great English rock bands of the late sixties and early seventies Leon has always been inspired by the idea of writing concept albums. Albums such as Quadrophenia, Tommy, Dark side of the moon and The Wall had a profound effect on him as a young musician and the notion of telling a story over fourteen songs rather than in three or four minutes really captured his imagination and gave him the creative drive to put together concept albums himself.

In the first half of 2011 Warmrain will be recording three tracks at The Outhouse recording studio in Berkshire, England to be produced by John Mitchell and to be released as their first single.
This will coincide with a number of warm up shows in London in preparation for the festival season. WarmRain will play High Voltage festival in July.
