COILGUNS
"Coil gun: A projectile accelerator which utilizes electromagnetic coilsto discharge a projectile(s) at extremely high velocity”.
La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. While most people from this townspend their lives handcrafting complicated mechanisms for use in luxurywatches, Coilguns have been busy crafting complex mechanisms of their own.
Writing began while Jona was in exile in the United States. The project hadbeen in mind for some time and with 3 tracks written, Jona naturally looked to Luc and Louis, rhythm section in The Ocean to complete the bands line up. Recording began in Artefact Studio on the 12th of January and with the help of Steve Notari , a healthy dose of Mauritian Rum, Swiss Absinth and Green the band began their journey.
Over the next few days the band recorded live in order to preserve the raw power and authenticity of the project. Through the green haze emerged 3 tracks as brutal as a kick in the balls, Raw as an open wound, yet as tight as a Swiss watch.
Mixed and mastered by Franck Hueso (Hacride), The Forthcoming EP will be released as a split with Luc and Louis noise-rock/performance duo project KUNZ.
Citing bands like Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan, Cursed and Breach, Coilguns live up to their name delivering sonic projectiles at extremely high velocity.


KUNZ
Kunz is a noise-rock duo based in switzerland, born form the unformal activities of The Ocean Collective's rythm section Louis Jucker (viola bass/barytone guitar/vocals) and Luc Hess (drums).
Besides their work with other artists, they experiment a music of their own, made of massive bass riffs, bruitist improvisations and minimal song structures.
Their rare live shows are integrating lights, stage set-up or even the audience itself in uncommon performances.
