Skoll appeared from the mists of Nubilaria (North West of Italy) in 1994 e.v. with a different monicker, taking the actual name one year later.
Since the beginning the purpose was to create music strictly linked to the ideals of the Ancient European Pagan heritage and Heathen Believes, from the Celts to the Germanics, from the Longbards to the ancient Slavs, from the Ancient Italics to the Romans, Skoll took inspirations from almost all the Ancient European Cultures.
The Mist became the connecting plasma, the inspiration source through which the songs came out through the years...
Skoll started as a band and continued as a band (even if with many line up changes) 'till 2000 e.v. releasing the 1996 e.v. demo "...in the mist I saw...", the second demo "Through The Mist We Come Back" and the collection tape "Through The Mists Of Time", taking part in the mythological 3cd compilation "Encyclopedia Pestilentia" and at the never released split 7" with norwegian Gravferd, then released as cd-r by the band itself.
During this first period Skoll played live four times.
Then, M remained the only one into the project, stopped the live activity and started his own personal path releasing the "Warriors Of The Misty Fields" mini album, the "Misty Woods" album and taking part in the prestigious double lp compilation "A tribute from the hordes to BATHORY - from the underground to the underground" with the cover song "Home Of Once Brave", all this with the help of talented guest musicians from the Underground...
At this time M is working on the new album that will be again in the Heathen Metal vein instead of the acoustic music of Misty Woods...
