CRYSTAL VIPER was formed in the year 2003, by the singer & guitarist Marta Gabriel. At the end of 2010 the band released 3rd full length album "Legends", which received great feedback from both fans and press around the globe. The album was also released in Japan by Spiritual Beast Records, and landed on the album charts of the famous Burrrn! Magazine. The album was produced by Bart Gabriel (Jack Starr's Burning Starr, Sacred Steel, Mortician), and recorded with bunch of very special guests, such as: Rhino (ex-Manowar), Mat Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner), Stefan Kaufmann (ex-Accept, U.D.O.) and Sven D'Anna & Dano Boland (Wizard). In 2011 CRYSTAL VIPER promoted the album on several summer festivals, including: BANG YOUR HEAD FESTIVAL (Germany) - headlined by Slayer, Immortal and Accept, 15 YEARS METAL ADDICTION: AFM FESTIVAL (Germany), HEADBANGERS OPEN AIR (Germany), NOC PLNA HVEZD (Czech Republic) and SKULLS OF METAL (Spain), where they played well received headlining show. All mentioned festival appearances were filmed, and a short documentary from each of them can be found on the official CRYSTAL VIPER video channel (link below). In December of 2011 CRYSTAL VIPER played a very special show in their homeland, as a special guest of Blind Guardian.
CRYSTAL VIPER will release its new album, "Crimen Excepa", in Europe on April 27, 2012 and in the U.S. on April 24, 2012 via AFM Records. The concept effort about holy inquisition, black magic and witches, where fiction is mixed with historical facts, was produced by Bart Gabriel (Jack Starr's Burning Starr, Sacred Steel). "Crimen Excepta" will feature two special guests: David Bower, vocalist of HELL will appear in the title track, while VADER mainman Piotr "Peter" Wiwczarek will be heard in the cover version of the classic VADER song "Tyrani Piekiel", which will be available as the bonus track on the first, limited edition of the album.
