Black Messiah was founded in 1992 as a pure old-school Black Metal band. The songs from this era paid tribute to Black Metal idols like Venom, Celtic Frost, Bathory and Possessed.
In 1997 Singer Zagan recorded the first album "Sceptre of Black Knowledge" with drummer Nabahm (from Innana Unveiled and Goat of Mendes).
In spring 2005 the band released their second album "Oath of a Warrior". With this release they managed to take an important step into international music business.
The band released their third album "Of myths and legends" at the end of 2006.
At the beginning of 2009, they released the epic "First War Of The World", in which Black Messiah tell the Edda story about the war between the Aesir and the Vanir. In 2012 the CD “The final journey” followed. And one year later they recorded the album “Heimweh”.
In 2017 the band record the new album "Walls of Vanaheim", the first under the banner of Trollzorn Records.
