Bonjour Tristesse was founded by Nathanael in the winter of 2008. From summer to autumn 2009 the first full lenght album "Par un sourire" was recorded at Forester Recording Studios.
At the beginning of 2011 the debut-album "Par un sourire" was released.
In 2015 "Par un sourire" was re-released by MDD Records as a newly mixed and mastered version of the album.

Bonjour Tristesse deals with sadness, depression, fear, inner emptiness and aggrieving dreams, but also with the strength, that can arise from those kind of feelings. The oppressing everyday life in capitalist systems, the struggle for freedom, the crisis of civilization, anarchism and ecological issues are influencing the bands music.
